sumbuk His 1st "solo" release, vocalist Christian Zehnder gives us a vaguely jazz fusion styled set of pieces highlighting his use of overtone singing backed by various string and reed instruments. This is another very interesting release I'm glad I found. It is even more accessible than Oloid, which I also recommend.

about

Vocalist Christian Zehnder‘s (Stimmhorn) first solo recording varies from his swiss roots to intriguing cosmopolitanism. Inspired by the ravens wordless singing Zehnder communicates beyond all language barriers, inventing a musical and theatrical world of his own.
" Zehnder is an unbelievable singer on all levels...ranging between yodeling and Meredith Monk, his work brings to mind the metaphysical clowning of a Samuel Beckett. How often does one experience art that cannot be distinguished from a natural phenomenon?"
